MANY RECENT UPGRADES, ALL NEW BATTERIES, LOTS OF EXTRAS! Sunnfjord has been well-known for building stout and strong commercial fishing boats made for the waters of the Pacific Northwest and here is a very unique one on the market for you! Just imagine the possibilities of what you can do with this excellent, well-rounded girl. She sleeps 8 in individual designated bunks, she has a fully-loaded galley, deck space galore, and a great electronics array and safety gear package. Her March 2019 survey is available for you to review. Her bottom was redone in 2021 and she has new zincs. There are hardly any Sunnfjords on the market in the Pacific Northwest because owners love them and they are extremely hardy boats. Dora has commercial-fished (under previous names) lower Cook Inlet and the Alaska peninsula (Area M). She has also, as Dora, done wildlife video-making for the Discovery Channel and NGTV in the Aleutians, were she also spent 8 seasons doing whale research all the way up to the Pribilof Islands, as well as physical oceanography for UAF out of Seward, and multi-day mothership kayak trips to Kenai Fjords Nat'l Park. Truly a versatile lady! Call today and make an appointment to see this one!

 Interior:
The house forward holds the main living space, as well as the helm. A weather-tight door from the bulkhead takes you inside, where you step down into a bright and very well-appointed interior for taking a crew of folks out for a weekend of fishing or longer. To port is a full galley that stretches along most of the cabin wall. There you will find a three-burner Force 10 propane stove with oven (new in 2017) and pot rails, a GE refrigerator, microwave, large double basin sink, counter space, and lots of storage drawers, cabinets, and accessories. Across on starboard is one of two staterooms, this one with two single bunks and built-in night tables with storage, as well as a storage locker. Forward is the raised dinette for four adults. The helm is on port and has an beautiful dash with a rich array of electronics, as well as a cushioned bench seat for two. Down into the bow takes you to the secondary stateroom, the v-berth, which has four comfortable single berths. Aft of the v-berth is the vessel head with a marine commode, hand sink, and shower with hot and cold pressure water. Opposite is a large storage locker. The former fish hold area has been converted to dry storage and also has two single berths. There is a freezer, as well as two 100-gallon water tanks. There is a custom built removable drop-in cabin that fits in the opening to the fish hold that has an additional two bunks (convertible to a double) In all, you can sleep eight adults very comfortably.

 On Deck:
Even with the addition of the aft cabin, there is plenty of deck space on Dora for whatever your needs are. Side decks and foredeck was replaced with closed-cell foam around 2010. She also has a huge flybridge area with seating and storage. High railing surrounds most of Dora s main deck, as well as her flybridge. There is room to store crab or shrimp pots up here, a kayak or two, or other larger gear. The aft cabin is a perfect spot for the dinghy. Dora has a six-inch aluminum mast with a four-inch aluminum picking boom with rigging and a Kinematic boom winch. Photos don t do this deck enough justice, you really need to walk around this deck and imagine all the possibilities she holds!

 Engine and Mechanical:
The power behind Dora comes from her two 375 horsepower Caterpillar 3208 TA diesel engines. The starboard engine was rebuilt in 2002 and has around 4,200hrs and the port engine has around 10.000hrs. She has Walter Keel coolers and dry stack exhaust. Steering is Hynautic manual hydraulic with Accu-Steer power assist and engine controls are ZF Mathers, new in 2017. Both injector pumps were rebuilt in 2020. Two aluminum fuel tanks carry a generous total of 800 gallons of diesel. The engine room is large and easily accessed by For anchoring 45-pound claw anchor with 80 feet of half-inch chain and 400 feet of wire.

 Electrical and Electronics:
The helm electronics package on Dora is vast, starting with the Comnav 2001 auto pilot with remote steering controls for rudders and engines. She also has a Furuno FCV600L depth sounder, a Furuno Navigator GP80 GPS, and a Fununo 1842C radar. For communications, you have a Kenwood TKM 707SSB radiotelephone, a Standard Quest and GX2310S VHF, Standard Explorer 6X1600 VHF, a Uniden Pro 510XL CB radio, a Midland handheld CB, and an Iridium satellite phone. Other helm electronics include a Dell ZPS 1330 laptop computer with Nobeltec navigation software interfaced with GPS and a Standard Horizon loudhailer. She got all new batteries in 2022: four 12v starting and six 6v golf cart house batteries. While underway, you have a Northern Lights 6kw diesel generator set with less than 3,000 hours on it. She has everything you need to keep your systems running well, including a Prosine Inverter battery charging and monitoring system.

 Notes and Extras:
This package comes with the USCG recommended safety equipment for a vessel of this size, including a life ring, smoke detectors, eight-person raft new in 2014, navigational rules, eight immersion suits purchased in 2015, eight type-1 life vests, an EPIRB, fire extinguishers, and more. She also has an Achilles SC-124 inflatable dinghy with a six horsepower Tohatsu motor at the ready.
