The Poundstone is a welded Steel landing craft with over 18' of deck width. This vessel is well kept and in service as a freight barge. With a 19'5" wide bow door she can haul large construction equipment and can transfer fuel with 10,000 gallons of fuel capacity. New factory manufactured main engines and an interior and electronic re-fit insures many more years of service. This is a turn-key freight hauling vessel

Interior:

The lower cabin consists of a galley, seating , 4 single bunks and storage. The Dickinson Adriatic diesel stove has a cooktop surface and oven. The galley has double stainless sinks, counter space and oak cabinetry. Up 1 flight of stairs is a large wheel house with many electronic upgrades. A Dickinson Bering diesel stove provides dry heat and cook top and oven. The helm has a large captains chair and bench seat. Aft of the helm seating is a double berth. A water tight door at the aft cabin wall leads to a small deck with access to deploy the anchor.

On Deck:

This large deck can accommodate 2 40' containers. gunnel height is almost 7 feet! Ladders aft lead to port and starboard side decks. Below deck are 4 Steel fuel tanks with 10,000 gallons of capacity. Port and starboard deck cranes have a 4,000 pound capacity. The Nordic hydraulic anchor winch has 250' of 5/8" chain. A water tight door leads to a roomy engine room where main engines and generators are easily serviced.

Engine and Mechanical:

Twin 215 HP Detroit 671's are factory re-manufactured with 1,000 hours. Reduction gears are twin disc 509's with 2 inch Stainless steel shafts. Generators include a Northern Lights 6KW, a Detroit 12KW , and Detroit 30KW.

Electrical and Electronics:

The helm has a full array of navigation electronics. A new Furuno TZ2 touch screen has the latest plotter and radar technology with overlay and AIS. There is an additional Furuno 72 mile radar. An additional Echotec GPS plotter and Rosepointe Navigation program on a HP laptop provides redundancy .A furuno FCV 663 color sounder and Si-tex depth flasher provide reliable monitoring of depth. There are 3 ICOM Vhf radios and an ICOM portable vhf. A searchlight with joystick and 2 Sodium lights make running at night or working on deck a snap.

This Vessel has been well-maintained and is presently active. She makes a heavy duty, reliable vessel for barge service. There have been continuous upgrades and regular haul-outs. This Vessel has been ad-measured (de-tonned) to 14 tons.
