Interior:
This well-appointed and stunning interior includes a spacious, fully-enclosed sun deck measuring almost 200 square feet with fantastic visibility. It offers a large L-shaped settee for enjoying company. Side doors on port and starboard access the side decks and an aft door accesses the cockpit deck. A wet bar is nearby and has a storage cabinet, small sink, counter and a wine and beverage refrigerator. Stairs from this space bring you to the captain s pilothouse bridge, where huge windows and three fantastic swivel chairs await you at the expansive helm. There is also comfortable bench seating and a lounge platform along the aft window. Access to the mid-level galley is from the sun room and down a short set of stairs. Warm teak wood and lovely accents like window coverings really add luxury to this space. Two lovely settees and tables, as well as storage cabinets, fringe the room and a galley is forward on port. Within the long counter space of the U-shaped galley, you have a large refrigerator, range, a new inset microwave, dishwasher, deep basin sink, and ample storage. In the lower levels, Born Free has a three-stateroom layout. Two staterooms and two heads are appointed in the bow. The v-berth is a full-size island bed with homey lighting and plenty of storage. The ensuite head is roomy with a separate shower stall with a glass door. A nearby stateroom has two single berths in a bunk style and its own head, also with a shower stall. The aft master stateroom is a huge, full beam space with excellent storage and an island queen size bed and access to the standup engine room. This stateroom also has an ensuite head with separate shower stall. Serving your water and septic needs is a 100-gallon holding tank, 200 gallons of fresh water, and a 2023 Bluewater water maker which can make up to 360 gallons of fresh water per day. All of the marine heads have new plumbing for the toilets to the black water tank. Born Free has features throughout which add to her livability, including a new washer, dryer, garbage disposal, air conditioning, constant hot water spigot, and a central vacuum system. Come aboard Born Free from either side deck or from the swim platform and transom door. The cockpit deck is a great area for fishing, diving, and other water sports. A long, cushioned seating bench stretches across the back and conceals cavernous storage. Access the sun room by the short staircase and the side decks are accessed through forward doors from the sun deck on both port and starboard. Take the side decks forward to the bow. There is a great amount of room for sitting, even with the dinghy davit and her 1998 Novurania MX400D dinghy in place. The boat s dinghy has new upholstery and a 2021 Yamaha T50 for the dinghy is included. Engine and Mechanical:
This beauty is powered well by her two 1050 horsepower Mann diesel engines and zips through the water with a 24-knot cruise at 2,500 rpm. Her starboard engine has 3,403 hours on it and port has 3,429. They have most of their life ahead still! She cruises at 24 knots at 2,500 rpm. The engines were last service in January 2024. Her fiberglass fuel tank carries 1,300 of diesel. She has power steering and hydraulic controls and an aft control station. She has ZF Marine drive type and a 2.0 gear ratio. Born Free really slices through the water for a smooth, dry ride.
Electrical and Electronics:
While at the dock, Born Free plugs into 50-amp and 30-amp shore power. She has a Master Volt battery charger and a Victron inverter, two start batteries and an eight-unit house battery system. All batteries are new since 2020. Her navigation electronics include a 2021 Garmin EchoMap UHD chartplotter, depth finder and fish finder. She has a RobertsonAP 20 auto pilot and a Furuno AP 20 radar. Her Icom marine radio was new in 2021. The StarLink satellite radio and internet has a cell phone booster to increase range. For docking, you have a bow thruster to make things super simple. Other features include a wind instrument panel which links with a Garmin GMI 20, a Yamaha 6YB multifunction meter, an Icom remote control microphone, and much, much more.
