2024 Charter Season booked. AVAILABLE 9/8/2024. 1978 Hidden Harbor Boatworks fiberglass four Stateroom Long Range Trawler designed by Steve Seaton Naval Architect. The current owner purchased Single Star in January of 2002 and did a complete refit of all the vessel systems from 2002 to 2006. Single Star is deep, 7' draft, she is wide, 17' 6" and she is heavy, #115,000 with #5,000 of lead ballast. All of her weight is down low meaning she is a very capable sea boat with hydraulic stabilizers, 25 HP hydraulic bow thruster, and 2100 gallons of fuel with a 3500 nautical mile range. She is a 4 stateroom vessel with large aft master below with twin berths outboard and ensuite master head. She has three staterooms below deck. Her two forward staterooms and are mirror images of each other aft of the forepeak with a large forepeak shower. Elevated pilothouse with pilot berth and port and starboard doors for access to the walk-around side decks. Her 4th stateroom is a thoughtfully designed crew quarters pod on back deck with attached head and shower with two large stacked bunks. She has a huge 48" long swim step with stairs to the cockpit. Including a 2021 13' Highfield Hypalon aluminum RIB with 30 HP Tohatsu. Bench seat w/steering console. Roskelly-Olsen aluminum davit with a #1,500 rating and 24V DC lift motor with wired remote.

 Interior:
Check out the attached 3D walk-through video to see the full below deck arrangement including the full width salon, forward and aft staterooms, and wheel house. Single Star has 3 staterooms below deck with two forward mirror image staterooms with adjoining head & shower and a large full aft master stateroom with ensuite head aft. Her salon is full width and includes large solid surface countertops, spacious galley with deep, double stainless steel sink, Subzero refrigerator, GE 6 burner ceramic electric cooktop, and large Miele electric oven below. Large cabinets to starboard contain the washer/dryer. Horseshoe dinette is to port and can seat 8-9 adults. Companionway stairs are to starboard going up to the wheel house. There is a large pilot berth aft of the helm chair for both sleeping and guest seating. Port and starboard side doors gain access to the side deck walk-around and foredeck.

 On Deck:
Single Star has a well balanced deck arrangement starting aft with the 48" deep swim step for ingress and egress on and off the vessel. Starboard side stairs to the elevated cockpit with rail mounted BBQ and large fiberglass deck storage box for deck freezer storage. To port is deck crane with telescoping boom for deploying the 13' Highfield RIB with center console and 30 HP Tohatsu 4-stroke outboard. Forward there is a companionway down to the salon, and one up to the flybridge. Offset center to port is the entry for the crew quarters pod with dogged door, two large bunk-bed style berths and ensuite head with shower. The fly bridge has a pipe bimini with sunbrella cover and bench and folding seating. Flybridge station has engine gauges, ZF- Mathers controls, rudder angle indicator, compass, and remote auto pilot head. Again forward is a large foredeck with Lighthouse MFG hydraulic vertical windlass with 600' of 3/8" high-test anchor chain stored in a chain locker. The main anchor is a #110 Bruce-style anchor. The spare anchor rode is 300' of 1" nylon and 200' of 3/8" chain and the spare anchor is a #110 CQR stored in the lazarette. Easy to wash the rode before storage with the deck spigot and hose.

 Engine and Mechanical:
COMPLETE REFIT OF ENGINE ROOM COMPLETED BETWEEN 2002 AND 2006. Powered with a single 6 cylinder 14.6 Liter 3406 Caterpillar turbo charged and after cooled diesel engine rated at 275 HP at 1800 RPM. This is a large block engine, (14.6 Liters) that was configured with small injectors and governed to a maximum 1800 RPM. She has lots of torque and burns 6 gallons per hour at 1400 RPM and 4 GPH at 1250 RPM. At 1250 RPM, 7 knots she has an effective range of approximately 3500 nautical miles with her 2,100 gallons of diesel in 4 tanks (two aft tanks are 600 gallons each the forward tanks are 450 each.) ZF-Mathers dual station controls in the wheel house and flybridge with hydraulic steering. (ZF Mathers controls newly installed in 2023). So many redundant engine systems like dual starters for the main engine with port side engine room push button wall switches. Dual Racor main engine filter with vacuum gauge, fuel transfer pump and polisher with manifold to move fuel between the 4 tanks,polisher, main engine and two diesel generators. 20KW house Generator and 12K KW generator. She caries and 700 gallons of potable water in two tanks and has a Sea Recovery 240 GPD water maker. Black water treatment by a Purasan EX made by Rarity Engineering. Gray Water storage for two lower heads because they are below the waterline. There are tank tender level monitors and and automatic discharge pump for overboard discharge when full and automatically shut down pump when empty. Dual pistol-style hydraulic pumps to run the 25 HP Side Power hydraulic bow thruster, hydraulic anchor windlass, hydraulic fin stabilizers, and hydraulic emergency bilge pump. There are (4) large capacity electric bilge pumps in addition to the Pacer emergency hydraulic bilge pump.

 Electrical and Electronics:
REDUNDANT AC AND DC ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS including a 20 KW Northern Lights diesel house generator and 12 KW Northern Lights diesel generator with 5500 and 1400 hours respectively. Cooling for both generators comes from sea water manifold. There are (2) high output 200 amp 24V DC engine alternators that are controlled by a single voltage regulator which enables them to work together. Alternator output is monitored by two digital ammeters on the electrical panel in the pilothouse. This system can run all the 24V loads while underway and charge the robust 1200 AMP hour house bank of (12) 2 Volt Rolls batteries are fully charged after about 6 hours of running at cruise RPM. The electronics suite is modern and up to date with multiple radar with chart overlay, chart plotters, GPS, depth sounders, VHF radios, Single Side Band radio, and an Iridium pilot satellite radio. Including a Comnav 2001 autopilot with dual stations that has two separate continuous run steering pumps. Very impressive suite of alarms and sensors like you would see on a commercial vessel available from the skippers helm chair. Main engine low oil pressure and high engine temp alarms and gauges. For the 511 Twin Disc marine gear there are low oil pressure and high oil temp gauges and alarms. There is a pyrometer gauge and a high temperature alarm on the exhaust elbow to diagnose an overheating issue before damage is done. There is a heat sensor with alarm in the galley, engine room, and lazarette. The hydraulic system has both temperature and pressure gauges and a 25 gallon tank. Last, there are 4 high water alarms in the 4 bilges and a pacer hydraulic pump for emergency de-watering the engine room.

 Notes and Extras:
Vessel has been continuously maintained and upgraded by the same owner for the past 22 years. She comes with operational manuals and training on her systems for the new owner(s.)
