Converted by a creative, knowledgeable, and experienced owner into a 40’ well laid out charter vessel for guests touring the Alaska Wilderness. She has s/s rails, a heavy steel rudder shoe, for protection against rocks, logs and grounding. The cabin windows are Lexan and are mounted to the outside for extra protection against serious waves. INCONNU has become well known as the boat that swims with the walruses. Owner, author of many Alaskan topics and adventures, has a tour business for another $20,000 to go with INCONNU. Interior:
Forward there are double bunks on the port, the galley has s/s sink with 2 burner stove (alcohol) refrigerator, plus dining area which turns into a bunk, the Cuddy sleeps 2 plus has the luxury of electric head, roomy shower with sink. Seats comfortably 6-8 guest with walking room to boot. 2 tanks @ 110 gals of water (50 + 60). To keep things simple owner made all bulkheads out of fiberglass with a touch of veneer trim making this lean machine tough and essentially maintenance free. Wipe it with a damp cloth and there you have it clean and ready. She is as clean and crisp as the day the owner converted this tom girl.
Engine and Mechanical:
Detroit Diesel Series 6-71 is a inline six cylinder model @ 1400 rpm 250 hp (177 kW) governed at 2100 rpm, besides save on gas you have 2/160 gal ea, in engine room, you have Dual Racors safety and fire protection security equipment. 8 man 10’ Rib AB Aria hard bottom dinghy with a 9.8 Nissan 2 stroke outboard motor to get you to safety. Electrical and Electronics:
The helm has breaker box with all the controls running on 2-12 volt and 4-6 volt the inverter at 1800watts that is reinforced with 24vlt and 12 volt battery charger. Adjustable pilot chair over looking JRC Package radar GPS, Fish finder, Sitix Plotter, Robertson Auto Pilot. The Capt. Station is clean and organized and behind the chair is a Dickerson heater with a stack. VHF radio, with satellite phone Iridium
