SPACIOUS, CLEAN AND VERSATILE! Orilla Mae is a vintage charmer with a lot of possibilities. Use her as a charter fishing vessel, add some plush interior and she becomes a comfortable cruising vessel, or completely remodel her into a roomy live aboard for one or two people. This is a straight-forward 45-footer and with a little work Orilla Mae becomes an affordable way for you to enjoy waterfront living or ocean recreation.

From Orilla Mae s aft deck, step through a double door threshold into an incredibly spacious great room-style main cabin with kitchen and sitting area with convertible settee and wall-to-wall carpeting and laminate in the galley area. The cabin enjoys warmth provided by a centrally located oil stove. The galley is fully equipped with a four-burner Hotpoint stove/oven combo and a sizable Kenmore refrigerator. Plenty of cabinets and drawer storage keeps things tidy, along with the double stainless steel sink. Orilla Mae s generous amount of counter space allows for a microwave and your favorite appliance with room to spare. Next to the galley is a chest freezer. Keep it in there for food and catch storage or remove it to make room for a bistro set or a comfy recliner. Head up a few steps to the helm with another convertible settee and from there head down to a forward v-berth stateroom with a roomy three-quarter head. A large 200 gallon water tank, 20 gallon hot water tank capacity and 40 gallon holding tank add to the long range capabilities of Orilla Mae.

 On Deck:
An oversized stern platform with sturdy railing makes boarding Orilla Mae a cinch, even for those with wobbly sea legs. The aft deck is cozy and partially covered with enough room for a couple of folding chairs. Prop your feet on her nice solid aft sides and lean back and relax on those sunny days. Plenty of deck trimmings like a winch and wash down system add to the versatility. Side decks with safety railing allow for more outdoor standing space or make your way to the helm by way of access doors on either side. Atop the cabin is a dinghy for safety or shore purposes.

 Engine and Mechanical:
Trawlers are not known for their speed, but have excellent fuel efficiency. Propelled by a single 2005 John Deere diesel 220 horsepower engine, Orilla Mae cruises at 8 knots and has a top speed of 10 knots. Her engine has 5,568 hours on it with plenty of years of life in it. Two fuel tanks hold a total of 400 gallons, which will take you a good long distance. The large engine room is easily accessed off the stateroom. If you need to anchor down for an evening, the Kolstrand hydraulic winch will swiftly lower your Davis 80 pound anchor and keep you set for the night.

 Electrical and Electronics:
As a fishing and/or cruising vessel, Orilla Mae is set to perform. Her helm is spacious with room to add more electronics. Available now is a high resolution Standard Horizon GPS 390i chartplotter, a Furuno depth sounder, Furuno radar, Cobra VHF, and a Raytheon loud hailer is ready when you need

 Notes and Extras:
Live aboard, charter or long range cruising, Orilla Mae is a charming fiberglass over wood boat that is ready for your unique vision. Her bottom was redone in 2013 and she is ready right now to take to the water. With a little planning and elbow grease, this diamond in the rough can be refurbished into a beautiful live aboard. Even factoring in moorage, fuel and electricity costs, you are looking at an extremely affordable living situation in pricey Southeast Alaska. Use what you are saving on living expenses to transform this girl into your perfect getaway. Give us a call for your personal viewing; we d love to show you this vessel.
